Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 20, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Styllar collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The Service is operated by Monolith Tech Inc., a corporation incorporated in Quebec, Canada; in this policy “Styllar,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Monolith Tech Inc. We comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including PIPEDA and, where applicable, Quebec’s Law 25. This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. We aim to collect as little as possible and to be clear about what we do with it.
1. Information we collect
We collect:
- Account information: if you create an account, your email address (and name, if you provide one).
- Avatars you save: the items you equip and the composed avatar image, so we can show them in your library.
- Payment information: if you buy a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive and store your subscription status and a customer reference, but we never see or store your full card details.
- Newsletter: if you subscribe, the email address you provide.
- Usage data: basic, aggregated analytics such as page views, to understand how Styllar is used.
- Local storage: we store guest state and preferences (like your current avatar and settings) in your browser.
2. How we use your information
We use the information to:
- provide and operate the Service (saving avatars, signing you in);
- process payments and manage subscriptions;
- send the newsletter you subscribed to (you can unsubscribe at any time);
- improve and troubleshoot Styllar;
- communicate with you about your account or important changes;
- keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
3. Where your data is processed
We use trusted third-party providers to run Styllar: hosting infrastructure (Vercel), database and authentication (Supabase), and payment processing (Stripe). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound to protect it. Your data may be stored or processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the Service (Section 3), or when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Styllar and its users.
5. Cookies & local storage
Styllar uses browser local storage to remember your avatar, settings, and sign-in state. We use minimal, privacy-preserving analytics and do not use third-party advertising cookies.
6. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to ask that your data be transferred to you in a structured format (data portability, under Quebec’s Law 25). To make a request, email info@styllar.com from the email associated with your account; we will respond within the timelines required by law. You can also clear locally-stored data by clearing your browser storage.
If you are unsatisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information.
7. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If your account is terminated or deleted, saved avatars and library data may be deleted after 30 days (see our Terms of Service), and we delete or anonymize the associated personal information within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it (for example, payment records for tax purposes).
8. Children
Styllar isn’t directed to children under 14, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. In line with our Terms of Service, you must be at least 14 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, if higher) to create an account. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll remove it.
9. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security. In the event of a confidentiality incident involving your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date, and for material changes we’ll provide additional notice where appropriate.
